This is a story of a healing that took place in my life, and I will never be the same again. I was 47 years old, married, and working as an electrician. Life was good! I loved my job, my wife, and the Lord Jesus. I was active in ministry at my church. Little did I know that my life was about to be turned upside down and that I was about to lose everything.
It all started with a cough that would not go away. Day and night I could not stop coughing. I saw a doctor who after looking at my x-rays
informed me that half of my lungs were being overtaken by a chronic lung disease. I was in shock! I was referred to a specialist who was unable to successfully treat my disease. I progressively got worse and lost more and more lung capacity. I was then referred to the Mayo Clinic were I met with one of the best lung doctors in the state of Minnesota. Despite the doctor’s efforts, I continued to get worse. I was struggling just to breath and was looking at the possibility that I was going to die.
All along this journey, I had people praying for me. One day after being prayed for, I felt that God had touched me. There was a noticeable improvement in my breathing. When I went back to the doctor for a routine exam, he looked at my x-rays and said, “Wow, your lungs are far better than I could ever have expected.” I shared with him that I was a Christian and that I had received an answer to prayer.
Today the disease has completely stopped. I am off of all medications. My last visit to the Mayo Clinic showed that I am regaining my lung capacity.
